Purpose Driven Church

By Pastor Ellis |  June 3, 2011

Zion is a 'Purpose Driven church'!

"A purpose-driven church is committed to fulfilling all five tasks that Christ ordained for His church to accomplish."

1- WORSHIP - Every church needs to grow stronger through worship. Worshiping God is the church’s first purpose. Worship comes before everything else.

2- FELLOWSHIP - Every church needs to grow warmer through fellowship. As Christians we are called to belong, not just to believe. We are to belong to Christ’s family and be active members of His body.

3- DISCIPLESHIP - Every church needs to grow deeper through discipleship. Discipleship is the process of helping people become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions. It is the church’s responsibility to develop people to spiritual maturity. This is God’s will for every member.

4- SERVICE - Every church needs to grow broader through ministry. The church exists to minister to people. Every Christian has been uniquely gifted for service in the Body of Christ.

5- OUTREACH - Every church needs to grow larger through evangelism. The church exists to communicate God’s Word to the lost. It is every Christian’s responsibility to share the Good News of Jesus wherever we go.

Every church needs to grow warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, stronger through worship, broader through ministry, and larger through evangelism.
